The problem I’m pursuing
A useful geometric account must do more than reproduce an equation by inserting known quantum constants. The question is whether a defined physical mechanism can supply the structure and coefficients that quantum theory requires.
Quantum potential
The research considers whether density-gradient or strain-like energy in a proposed spacetime field could lead to a term with the structure of the Bohm quantum potential.
This is an established expression being used as a target for comparison. Deriving it from the proposed model, with a justified meaning for density and the correct coefficient, remains an open task.
Uncertainty and fluctuations
Earlier investigations explored conditional uncertainty bounds in fluctuation-based toy models. Such bounds depend on assumptions about the fluctuation field and its scale. Recovering Planck’s constant independently remains unresolved; using it to define a model parameter does not explain its origin.
What would count as progress?
- A clear statement of the model’s independent assumptions.
- A derivation with consistent dimensions, dynamics, and physical interpretation.
- Numerical comparison with a standard system, such as a free wavepacket or hydrogen.
- An account of multi-particle behaviour, entanglement, and compatibility with relativity.
- A prediction or limiting result that can be checked independently.
The work is connected to the spacetime hypothesis, but this page focuses on the mathematical tests that would make that proposal assessable.
